Double Edged (2019)

a short film written, directed and produced by Esther Rennae Walker. The emotionally charged short explores the psychology of a young man who feels compelled into gang culture. It was selected to screen at the Newham Rising Shorts Festival at the Stratford Summer Screen in August 2019. Later it premiered online garnering over 600 views on YouTube, which coincided with the in-person event attended by around 50 individuals.

MEET THE CREATOR

Esther-Rennae Walker - Scriptwriter, Director and Producer of Double Edged

Esther-Rennae Walker (ERW) is a local storyteller from East London. Her stories are a combination of visceral words and striking imagery, confronting faith, identity, culture and experiences that bring colour to the unheard voices that sweep the streets of London and beyond.

ERW's most recent work is her I-phone shot film 56 Black Men (2020) shortlisted for EVCOM'S Focus Award 2021, selected for Wha'gwan film festival 2021 and featured on Evening Standard.
